We maintain your confidentiality at the highest level possible, so that no one will know that you have tested with us. Billing is discrete, no one will contact you, and nothing will be sent to your house. The lab that we send you to is a Quest Diagnostics or a LabCorp facility in your area, so you will not have to sit and wait in an uncomfortable, STD Testing Clinic. You can rest assured that you are getting the highest level of testing available when you are going to one of the two largest laboratories in the United States. This is also a place where your doctor would send you for any type of routine screening, so there is no reason to try to avoid being seen when you are going into the lab. The phlebotomist will simply take you to a private room and collect the samples that our doctor has requested and send you on your way. It’s that easy!
WHO SHOULD RECEIVE STD TESTING?
Anyone that has ever had a sexual experience with someone without having them tested first. A majority of our population falls into this category and that is why STD Testing is so important. We are a trustworthy society and like to believe that we can trust one another, and don’t like to think that we might be the next STD statistic.
In most cases it’s not the fault of the partner that you’ve chosen or that someone gave you a STD intentionally in anyway. A majority of the most common STD’s are asymptomatic, and don’t show signs or symptoms whatsoever. So, most people aren’t even aware that they are a carrier of a STD. That’s why regular STD Testing is so important.
It is recommended that all sexually active people receive routine STD Testing. The screenings are fast and relatively inexpensive compared to the consequences of not getting early detection, so there is no reason not to protect your health. Even if you have been in a committed relationship for a long time, there is no way to be sure that your partner wasn’t infected prior to committing to you – without STD Testing.
No one wants to think that a loved one would betray them, but we have to be realistic. Infidelity is so common in our society and it is part of the reason that more than 50% of all marriages fail. Recent divorcees and people that have just gotten out of a long term relationship are a good portion of our business for this reason.
SYMPTOMS THAT CAUSE PEOPLE TO SETUP STD TESTING
As I said earlier, most of the people that need STD Testing don’t show signs or symptoms because most STD’s are asymptomatic. That is the main reason why there has been an increase in STD Testing over the last decade. People are aware of the consequences of unprotected sex and not getting STD treatment early. In most cases, STD testing is the only way to detect a STD. These infections can be transmitted through vaginal intercourse, oral sex, anal sex, and skin to skin contact. Remember that the most commonly transmitted STD’s do not display any initial signs or symptoms and by the time the symptoms show – there has already been irreversible damage.
Here are some common symptoms that should make you consider STD Testing:
Itching around genitals
Scaly rash or redness around genitals or mouth
Painful or burning Urination
Discharge from Genitals
Discomfort in the genital areas
Soreness in the throat that persists
Dark colored urine
Swelling of lymph nodes
Fever and body ache
Fatigue that cannot be explained
Weight loss and night sweats
Increased frequency of urination and testicular pain among men
Bleeding following sexual intercourse
Nausea along with vomiting
Muscle and joint pain
HOW THE STD TESTING PROCESS WORKS:
STEP 1: ORDERING YOUR STD TESTING PANEL
Call our office to speak to one of our highly trained STD Testing counselors to explain your situation and let them help you evaluate your risk factors and the need for STD Testing. STD Testing is an uncomfortable topic for most, but our caring counselors will take all of the time needed to discuss your options and help provide you with the STD Testing package that will give you the peace of mind that this difficult time calls for.
We have doctors on staff in all 50 states to order STD Testing panels and evaluate the results for every single client. We are a full service STD Testing facility so all pre and post counseling along with sending you a copy of your results is included in the cost.
The doctor in your area will send his STD Testing orders to your local lab which will allow you to have your STD Testing completed, so all that you have to do is show up for your STD Testing at the time that you choose.
STEP 2: GOING TO THE LAB TO GIVE SAMPLES FOR YOUR STD TESTING
When you arrive at your local facility, we will have already taken care of everything for you. All paperwork will be filled and the doctor’s orders will be at the front desk. You simply let the person at the front desk know that you are there to have samples collected, and they will immediately take you to a room in the back to collect the samples. The whole process at the lab usually takes around 15-20 minutes.
STEP 3: GETTING THE RESULTS OF YOUR STD TESTING
You don’t have to go back to the lab to get your results when you are testing with us. We can give you the results of each test directly over the phone. We have a direct link with the laboratory for all STD Testing results. As soon as a sample has been tested for each particular test, we have immediate access to the results. Most of the results will be available the following day, but everything is usually processed by the end of the second or third business day. This is about a third of the time that it would take for STD Testing results through your general practitioner or through a local clinic.
STEP 4: POST RESULT COUNSELING
We will be here to answer all questions that you have about the STD Testing Panel that you have chosen. This will be a life changing event for some, so we will be here to answer any questions that you have and also to help you find a local physician if lifelong treatment is needed. We also work with a Counselor Referral Company for anyone that may need someone to talk to about the results of their STD Testing or the impact that it may have on their life.We are a full service testing facility. If there is a positive result and you need medication, we will help you with that as well. From start to finish we will be here to help you decide what is best for you and help you through this process.
We are the fastest, most affordable, embarrassment free, and most caring option for your STD testing. We will help anyone that wants to use their insurance for their STD Testing get reimbursed on the back end as well. We will provide you with all forms and receipts needed to get this completed.
